Product Description

About The Product

The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is a prehistoric-looking beauty native to drought-prone East Africa. Its secret weapon? Large, bulb-like rhizomes tucked beneath the soil that store water for weeks. This makes it the perfect choice for frequent travelers, busy professionals, or those "dark corners" of the house where nothing else seems to grow.

Care Instructions

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can handle some morning sun, harsh afternoon rays will bleach the golden leaves. In low light, the plant may drop leaves or lose its vibrant yellow tint.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Note: Aralias are sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot.

Humidity: This plant loves high humidity ($60\%+$). Mist the leaves regularly or place it near a humidifier to mimic its tropical origins.

Temperature: It prefers warmth ($18°C$ to $29°C$). Be careful during Indian winters; keep it away from cold windows or chilly drafts.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (Spring to Autumn).

Benefits & Uses

Natural Air Scrub: Effectively removes common indoor toxins like xylene, benzene, and formaldehyde, making your indoor air fresher.

Prosperity Symbol: In many cultures, the Money Plant is believed to bring good luck, wealth, and positive energy to the household.

Versatile Decor: Use it as a hanging plant, a desk companion, or a vertical green wall feature.

Easy Propagation: You can easily grow new plants by taking stem cuttings and placing them in water.

Frequently Asked Questions

The best way is the "Finger Test." Stick your finger about an inch or two into the soil. If it feels dry, it's time to water. If it feels damp, wait a few days. Most indoor plants die from overwatering rather than underwatering!

You’re in luck! Many of our favorites thrive in low-light conditions. We recommend:

  • Aglaonema Snow White
  • Money Plant Green
  • Syngonium White Butterfly
  • Snake Plants (Sansevieria)

Like all Pothos, it is toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. We recommend placing it on high shelves or in hanging planters.

This is usually due to low humidity or tap water chemicals. Indoor environments, especially with AC, can be very dry. Try misting your plants regularly or using filtered water to help them stay lush and green.
